Introduction
Here’s what we do: we make industrial infrared heating systems, and right at the heart of so many of our setups is the halogen quartz tube. If you run a hot yoga studio or a wellness space, these tubes are what give you that perfectly focused radiant heat. It’s the kind of warmth that sinks in, helping people truly unwind and get the most out of thermal therapy. The magic is pretty simple, really. A powerful halogen element sits inside a quartz tube, blasting out shortwave infrared. It warms people and surfaces directly, without wasting time heating the air around them.
Getting into the Details
Our standard tubes are built for serious work, running on either 230V or 400V. You’re usually looking at 2500W of power packed into a compact 300mm length. That kind of power density isn’t an accident. It means you get a massive amount of heat from a small package, so you can put the warmth exactly where you need it without needing a giant, clunky cabinet. If you go with the 400V 2500W tube, you’re getting some serious heat density. Just be ready for it. Your studio’s ventilation and overall thermal setup need to be up to the task, because the ambient temperature is going to rise.
The Build
The tube itself is a double-ended quartz envelope, filled with halogen gas. Quartz is the perfect choice because it can handle extreme temperatures and stays incredibly clear, letting that infrared energy pass right through. The halogen cycle does its job too, keeping the filament stable. This means less blackening over time and a much longer life for the tube. And the R7s base? It’s a tough, no-fuss connector. This double-ended, ceramic-based design handles high currents with ease, making the whole thing a simple drop-in replacement for many industrial fixtures. We chose it because it’s a breeze to wire up and it can take a beating, even in places that get switched on and off constantly.
How It Works for You
Inside a hot yoga room, that shortwave infrared heat does its best work by warming bodies and the floor directly. It creates the exact thermal environment you need for deep stretching, without turning the air into a sauna. Because the tube is so compact, you have a lot of flexibility. You can set up overhead arrays or wall brackets, whatever fits your space best. The trade-off is simple: all that power means you need to plan your layout and airflow carefully. Get that part right from the start, and you’ll have a system you can rely on. It will deliver that steady, comforting radiant heat session after session.
